Agreement

Accepting these terms

By accessing localleadsio.com or subscribing to LocalLeadsIO ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the service.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LocalLeadsIO with respect to your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.

The Service

What LocalLeadsIO provides

LocalLeadsIO is a B2B subscription service that monitors publicly available commercial building permit data across multiple states and delivers automated email digests to subscribers based on their selected city and trade preferences. Current coverage includes Charlotte (Mecklenburg County, NC), Raleigh (Wake County, NC), Greensboro (Guilford County, NC), and Charleston (Charleston County, SC).

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any permit information before relying on it for bidding, contracting, or any other business decision. LocalLeadsIO is a monitoring and delivery tool, not a licensed contractor service or legal advisor.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is"

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from delays. We do not warrant that permit data will be complete, current, or accurate. Municipal data systems may experience downtime, change their data formats, or restrict access at any time without notice to us. When this occurs, delivery gaps are possible and do not constitute a breach of these terms.

Subscriptions and Billing

Plans and pricing

LocalLeadsIO offers three monthly subscription tiers:

  • Essential — $149/month. One trade, daily digest delivered at 7 AM.
  • Standard — $249/month. Two trades, morning and afternoon delivery.
  • Pro — $399/month. All four trades, real-time 15-minute monitoring 7 AM to 6 PM plus end-of-day recap.

All new subscriptions include a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days, contact us at permits@localleadsio.com for a full refund. No questions asked.

Billing recurs automatically on a monthly basis from the date of your initial subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. LocalLeadsIO does not store your payment card information.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Manage Subscription link in every email you receive. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You retain full access to the service through that period.

Refunds

Except as explicitly provided elsewhere in these terms, all fees are non-refundable once charged. If you believe there is a billing error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review it. Termination by LocalLeadsIO without cause entitles you to a prorated refund as described in the Termination section below.

Acceptable Use

Permitted and prohibited conduct

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to receive and use LocalLeadsIO permit digest emails for your own internal business purposes. You agree not to:

  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit permit digest content or the service to any third party
  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or systematically collect data from digest emails
  • Share, transfer, or sell subscription access to any individual or organization outside your business
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the service for competitive purposes
  • Use the service in any manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription immediately, without refund, if we determine you have violated any of these terms.

Intellectual Property

What we own

The LocalLeadsIO name, logo, website, software, digest formatting, email templates, and all other original elements of the service are the exclusive property of LocalLeadsIO and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

The underlying permit data contained in digests is public record sourced from government systems and is not owned by LocalLeadsIO. However, our selection, arrangement, formatting, and delivery of that data constitutes original work protected under copyright law.

Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited use license granted by your active subscription.

Permit Data and Public Records

Nature and limitations of permit data

All permit data delivered through LocalLeadsIO is retrieved from publicly accessible government sources. This information is public record. LocalLeadsIO does not create, modify, fabricate, or interpret this data — we retrieve, filter for relevant permit statuses, and format it for delivery.

Data availability, completeness, and accuracy are entirely outside our control. Permit records may be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable due to factors including municipal system maintenance, structural changes to data sources, or access restrictions imposed by the source municipality.

Your reliance on permit data for business decisions is at your sole risk. LocalLeadsIO expressly disclaims any responsibility for missed opportunities, inaccurate records, or business outcomes resulting from use of the service.

Service Availability

Uptime and delivery expectations

We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver permit digests on schedule. Service availability may be affected by factors outside our control, including municipal data system downtime, infrastructure outages with our service providers, or system maintenance.

LocalLeadsIO shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to municipal government decisions, changes to data access policies, acts of nature, power outages, internet service disruptions, third-party service provider outages, or any other cause outside our direct control ("force majeure events"). Delivery gaps caused by force majeure events do not constitute a breach of these terms and carry no refund or credit obligation.

LocalLeadsIO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue coverage of any city at any time. For planned discontinuation of an entire city, we will provide reasonable advance notice to affected subscribers and offer a prorated refund for any fees paid covering the unused portion of the then-current billing period.

Limitation of Liability

Cap on our liability to you

In no event shall LocalLeadsIO's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to these terms or your use of the service exceed the total fees you paid to LocalLeadsIO in the three (3) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation applies to all causes of action in the aggregate, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, and any other legal theory.

Indemnification

Your obligation to defend us

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LocalLeadsIO and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the service or permit data
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Any business decision you make based on permit data delivered by LocalLeadsIO
  • Any dispute between you and a third party in connection with your use of the service
Dispute Resolution

How we handle disagreements

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact LocalLeadsIO at permits@localleadsio.com and give us a reasonable opportunity — no less than 30 days — to resolve the dispute informally.

Class action waiver

You agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against LocalLeadsIO. Claims may not be consolidated with those of any other subscriber or user without our written consent.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal proceeding that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Termination

Our right to end the relationship

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription immediately and without notice if we determine that you have violated these terms. We may also terminate your subscription without cause by providing at least 7 days written notice to your email address on file. In the event of termination without cause, we will refund any fees you have paid covering the unused portion of your current billing period.

You may terminate your subscription at any time as described in the Cancellation section above. Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations already incurred.

Modifications

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not agree to a material change, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date and receive a prorated refund for any unused portion of your current billing period.

Miscellaneous

General legal provisions

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between you and LocalLeadsIO regarding the service. They supersede all prior discussions, agreements, or representations.
